"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk on behalf of expertvillage.com, today we’re discussing basic tips on playing the game Mancala. Now, let’s get into actually winning the game Mancala, it’s 2 player game. The object of the game, do you remember? Of course, is to get the most stones in your larger component, Okay. So it’s not necessarily being the first person out. Now, the game ends when one person is out on their side but actually winning is the person that has the most stones or the most seeds in their larger component. So this game is almost finished, now, if you remember, we’ll say you’re playing the game here, so you’ve got only one choice left, two stones. You sow the stones 1, 2, while your last stone just ended up in your larger component. You get another turn and it just so happens that your last stone lands in your larger components. Now you think, oh I’ve won, not necessarily. You were out first but don’t forget your opponent, that would be me, gets to keep all of the other stones on the opposite side. So we put these all in and if you can see here, my side does have more stones than your side does. So winning the game, it’s very strategic, you’re not necessarily the first person out that will win if the person with the most stones. "
