Playing Pieces & Scoring Points in the Game Operation

"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're learning how to play the game Operation. In this clip, let's discuss the play pieces and the points that you actually get for each one of those pieces. Now, depending on which part of Cavity Sam you're trying to extract, you earn more money for the, of course, harder or difficult to reach spots. So let's review the various play pieces. Of course, first we have the ankle bone connected to the knee bone worth 200 dollars. It's a challenging one. The wrenched ankle; also worth 200 dollars. The spare ribs, 200 dollars again. Now we start to get a little bit more challenging. Writer's cramp, which is the pencil. That is worth 300 dollars. The Adam's apple. You want to remove it, you don't want to take a bite out of it, 300 dollars as well. And the good ol' funny bone. Now this one we're starting to really make some money. 400 dollars. The Charley Horse, 400 dollars. You can really pony up your fee there. And we're making even more money here now. Butterflies in the stomach, 500 dollars. Water on the knee, another 500 dollars. The wish bone; this is a hard one. 600 dollars. And the broken heart worth 700 dollars. Now, the most difficult part to retrieve is the bread basket. That's a great one to get. 1000 dollars. Finally, there is actually a new part to remove. In October of 2004, a new piece was actually added to the original game and that is the brain freeze. Well, too much ice cream froze in Sam's brain so you have to scoop it out and stop the pain. That too is worth 600 dollars. Don't forget about the specialist cards. When the doctor can't retrieve out of Cavity Sam, the specialist cards are worth double the money. Now that we've gone over the points, of course there's only one more thing to discuss.
