"One of the things dealing with poker etiquette is talking during the play of a hand. Now talking during the hand can be whether you are in the hand or whether you have folded out of the hand. So lets look at a situation where talking during a hand could affect, or possibly affect the action at the table. As you can see on the table, cards have been dealt out and the flop comes out six - eight - six. Now if I'm a player, not the dealer at the table, and I see that flop, and I make a comment like "ah man" or the flop comes out and I lean over to a player and I whisper something in their ear, I've actually given away information to the other players at the table. I could have said "man I should have played that hand now". What do you think they're thinking? Somebody that's in the hand could be thinking, well he threw away one of those sixes, which would have given him trip sixes on the flop. Now the likelyhood of another player at the table having that fourth six, or the case six, the odds are actually a lot lower. So by me talking when I wasn't in a hand, I gave away alot of information to the other players that they can use to their advantage. Now lets say that I was still in the hand, and I'm talking, the action this person has placed a bet, and the action is on this person here. And lets say I talk about "you made a bet of two hundred, wow, you must really have a six". Well, now I've given this person information based on my perception of what this players bet was. Again, I'm giving away information to the players at the table, when I shouldn't be talking. So, one rule of poker etiquette is, don't be talking about the hand while there is action being going on."
