Final Sewing for Invisible Zipper

"Hi, I'm Karen, for Expert Village. Let's put that on the machine so you can see it. And I'm up about, not a half an inch, a little more than a quarter of an inch on the seam. And then we're going to sew down, so the zipper is placed in there almost folded in half, and the zipper foot is as close to it as possible. You're sewing a regular seam, a regular stitch length as close to that zipper as possible. After you pass the zipper, you just continue down to the bottom of the garment with a regular seam allowance. So now, we'll open that up and you can see how that seam looks. If I unzip the zipper, you can see that it looks just like a continuing seam. Let's zip it up, and it looks like it's invisible, there's no zipper there at all. Now the last thing you want to do is just sew your loose zipper end to the seam allowance. So you can use the zipper foot or you can change to a regular foot. Just sew the zipper tape, that loose zipper tape down to the seam allowance so it won't move around. Sew it on both sides of the seam allowance. (Move my needle position). Just sew it in place there like that. And that is it! You're finished with an invisible zipper installation. "
