"Hi! I am going to talk to you about preventing erosion. Preventing erosion as I said is very important thing because you need to keep the trails intact not only for the people to enjoy them but for them to look nice too. Like we covered earlier, foot placement is pretty important because say this rock was here and I step on it thinking that it is solid and I knock it out, now there is a hole where the rock came out and water is going to come down in here and wash out all this and start wearing away down through this gully so foot placement is pretty important. As I mentioned before, staying on trail is also important. If you are wondering off trail, you can create more spots for erosion. Again the water break that I mentioned earlier, if the water break is damaged that can also cause erosion. Make sure that is intact if you see one broken. Just take a few seconds to fix it. Also try to stay off of roots of trees if you are walking because if you walk around on the roots you can eventually kill the tree and uproot the tree if everybody comes through and steps on the roots. So try to avoid it. It's not completely necessary but just try to avoid it. So make sure when you are hiking that you are just conscious of erosion. You don't have to go out and be the erosion police but just be careful when you are walking around and everybody can enjoy the same trail you walked on. "
