Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Ken and I am here to talk to you about playing Chess. In the previous episode, I talked about the King's Pawn opening. There are many openings in Chess. The next opening that is unimportant is most popular is also the Queen's Pawn opening which we could see right here. Just like in the King's Pawn opening, the Queen's Pawn will go 2 spaces out. Once again, the Pawn can move either 1 or 2 spaces and the Queen's Pawn opening moves 2 spaces. The corresponding move from the black is also 2 spaces. In the next opening, you can then attack this as we did in the previous, by moving out the Knight. Remember the Knight moves 1, 2, and over; actually it is protecting this. So you can bring this Knight out or more likely you will bring this Knight out or more likely you will bring this Knight out 1, 2 and over. This is now attacking this Pawn. The blacks position now is to protect the Pawn. You could move the Pawn up to protect it or it can move out a Knight 1, 2 and over which now protects the Pawn in the front. This is basically the opening and of course, you can bring out the Bishops as you did in the other one with the Bishop here or the corresponding Bishop coming out on this point here. King's Pawn opening and Queen's Pawn opening; the two most positive and popular of the different openings for Chess and as we will see in the next segment, this is just variations of the kinds of things that can be done.
