"In this clip we're going to talk about wheel walking, also known as scuffing. Your feet aren't going to be touching the pedal at all. What you're going to be doing is just sitting on the seat. Kind of leaning back a little bit. The seat's not going to be totally straight up. It's going to be kind of like this, at an angle and you're going to be pushing the wheel with your feet while you ride. Same principle applies to wheel walking as to regular riding. If you start going back like this, you need to not push so hard and your momentum will bring you up. If you start to go forward a little bit, you want to give a good shove so that it brings the wheel under you and you stay up. So you can't just keep pushing at the wheel at one speed and expect to stay on the unicycle. You have to adapt to what the unicycle is doing and with practice, you'll figure out how to do that. So let's start out holding onto a pole and that's where we're going to get our first pushes in on the tire. Alright so you're holding onto the pole, you're rocking back and forth on the unicycle. Whatever foot you put your weight on, just get the pedal straight down to the ground and put one foot on the wheel like this and take your other one off. A good starting position, I have my foot on the fork of the unicycle and the wheel at the same time. It's kind of jamming the wheel to where it's not going to move at all, and then I put my other foot in front of that one. And then you've just got one foot behind the other, heel to toe, heel to toe just like that. So we can just start out right here and you can lean the seat back a little like I said starting out, but you just got to go for it. This one takes forever but it's a lot of fun once you've got it. So I'm just starting like this. You can actually, when you're first starting out, work your way around the pole real slow. Keep your hand out and figure out your balance. If you want to go along a wall that might be a good idea because you don't have to deal with turning at the same time, it will be a little bit easier. Like everything else, you've just got to go for it. So you start out right here, let go and lean forward. And look and the pedal, see it come down and you can step back onto it just like that."
