"In this clip we're going to talk about the kick up and go. That's what I call it. You start out with the unicycle on the ground, and you're going to put one foot on the pedal, one feet, one foot below the seat. And putting all your weight on this foot, you're going to kick up the seat, and because your weight's on that foot, it's going to carry the unicycle up and it's going to hit your leg, and you sit down and start riding. So... So what you're going to do. It feels kind of awkward, you have to put your foot right here where the pedal meets the crank. I'm just kind of putting my foot right there, it's not all the way against the pedal like this, it's not standing on the crank, it's kind of standing right on the corner right there. With my other foot, I'm putting it right below the seat, and that's going to kick up right there. You want your unicycle pretty much in a ninety - the crank arm - in a ninety degree angle with the fork of the unicycle. I'm starting out on the grass just 'cause it's a little bit safer and it's more comfortable just to start out. What you want to do is just kick it up and get it to the place where you can kind of balance for a sec, get your feet on, and then fall off. Once you get comfortable with that, move to the pavement and you can start riding right after you do it. So now we're on the pavement, I'm going to kick it up and just start to ride. Foot under the seat, and the crack of the unicycle in the corner, and ride."
