"Alright in this clip we're going to show you how to rock up onto the unicycle. This is going to be a good base for starting out without having to hold onto something. So what I'm going to do, what's most important, I'm going to show you two different ways to do this. What's most important is to position the pedals in the right way. Depending on if you're left-footed or right-footed. I'm right-footed, so I start out with my left foot to rock up onto it. So I put the pedal kind of at like a forty-five degree angle right here so that when I rock up onto it, I'm going to put my weight on this pedal and it's going to roll the wheel up under me. If I start with it right here and rock up onto it, it rolls the unicycle away from me, and I'm not going to get on top of it. So we'll start out, you can have it a little bit farther back right here. You just don't want to have it straight down. So I'll start right here. Put the unicycle under you. And I'm just going to rock up onto it, putting all my weight up onto it like that. Now I'm idling, and what we'll have to talk about how to do this in a second. Let's go over to a pole or something that you can hold onto. That's the best way to learn when you start to rock up onto this. So rocking up without holding onto anything is a little bit more advanced. This is going to be, this is going to be where you're going to want to start out, holding onto a pole or a friend. So I've got the pedal back so that when I put my weight onto it, the wheel is going to go under me instead of away. Rock up onto it holding on. Once you feel confident doing that, rock up like that and find it. And then you can just fall off. If you don't know how to idle, that's a good way to start. Just rock up onto it, kind of see how long you can stay up like that."
