Video Transcript

"In this clip, I'm going to show you the execution of the "Make Something Round" trick. Here I have, again, my friend Rich, who is going to be my guinea pig. I have five straws set up here just parallel, nothing fancy, just like I told you before. All I'm going to ask is that Rich here try to make something round out of these five, straight sticks. No bending, no breaking, no nothing. All you have here are your sticks; so have at it, Rich. I'll tell you right now that this is impossible. I would be you right now knowing it because I've been looking at it; and I'm telling you I know it's got to be round and you can't bend them, you can't even do like the octagon shape--something like that--it looks more like home plate. There's no way you can make something round out of this; it's impossible. So, yes; I challenge you! Alright, well here I'm going to make just a few simple movements to show him how wrong he is. I'm going to take my five straws--he has them a mess here--but, with a few adjustments, you can see that I have made something that is clearly round here. Now, this is a perfect joke for the bar because we're all sitting around having a good time, no one's uptight about anything. It's pretty funny if you look at it; these are just sticks, but the word that they make says something entirely different than bar straws."
