"Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and I'm from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is the essentials of scrapbooking. Chapter ten: glitter. Although glitter can be one of the more messier craft, it's still a classic and it's still used in scrapbooks. I have 2 types of glitter. I have purple glitter and white glitter today. You can use either one, and I'm going to show you how to use both colors. Using glitter, you can make borders for around your pictures. You can frame them or you can even just do shapes. To apply the glitter, I like to use just the classic Elmer's glue, the liquid glue. You just have to be careful because you have to make sure to get straight lines and not get too much glue on your page. You might want to practice once before you actually try this out. The fun thing about this is that you don't have to have perfect lines because the glitter will be thick and it'll cover up your little mistakes. It's fun. No one really knows if you're tried to get a straight line or not. Depending on the color scheme of your page, you can use any color. You can use multiple colors. They do sell rainbaow glitter. They sell all sorts of shades. The best thing to keep in mind is to just keep a scrap sheet of paper because you want to apply the glitter nice and thick on top of the glue to make sure you cover all parts of the glue. I'm just going to do this one side for you. Make sure you cover all the parts. Then you can just take a scrap sheet of paper. Once you feel it's been on there for a good amount of time, fold your page in half and pour the excess out. Just give it a light tap and your glitter will stay. What you can do is just save this little bit of glitter, and I'll show you another way of using. Just a quick example. Say you want to do hearts. Just draw a nice shape. It can be any shape that you want. Make sure to get a good amount of glue. You can pour your glitter the same way around the shape. Get your excess sheet and give it a nice tap. As you can see, it is a little difficult. It'll get better with time, but that gives you the basic idea of how you can use glitter for your scrapbook."
