"Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and I'm from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is the essentials of scrapbooking. Chapter nine: glue sticks. Glue sticks are best for gluing paper and pictures, not for heavier materials such as fabrics or ribbons. It is lighter than hot glue, and Elmer's glue tends to seep through the paper, which may cause more of a mess. Although the brand is not too important, it is best to not go too cheap on your glue stick. You want to make sure that your pictures and papers stick. When using your glue stick, it is best to apply the glue as close to the edge as possible as I'm doing here. This will keep your pictures and papers from folding up on the edges and assure us that they stay in place. "
