"Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and I'm from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is the essentials of scrapbooking. Chapter two: pictures. The best way to start a memory book or scrapbook is to gather your pictures. Most of time, but not always, the theme of the pictures will set the theme of your page or your album. The pictures are usually placed in the album in chronological order. Depending on how large your page is, you'll only need about 3-5 pictures. The album that I'm using is a 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 size album. I can either use two 4x6 photos or one 5x7 because I want to leave room for decorations and for captioning. I'm only going to use one 4x6 photo for my page. Remember, the photos do not have to be used in their entirety. They can be cut to the size that you desire. Now that I have done this, I can decide on the theme of my page. This is a photo of me in Miami, so my theme will be a trip to Miami."
