Today I am here on Expert Village to bring you part 8 of our improve your photography series and today we are going to talk about the speed light. So you got tired of all the red eye, the washed out images from your pop-up on camera flash and you decided to go out and spend a couple of hundred bucks and get a handy dandy trusty dusty speed light. Well you just affix it to the top of your camera and then you lock it in place and you power it up and pray you got fresh batteries and all your problems are solved. These units usually operate on a 4 or 5 batteries. They are adjustable in terms of raising and lowering them out of light that you can output and the model ones tend to have light flexible heads on them so you can actually spin them around and rotate them so you can get directional flashlight. All this will help you to shake the light in your images and it will help you eliminate red eye. So when you are ready to step up your game and go ahead and spend a couple of $100 bucks, pop away with your own camera flash, be sure to experiment and stay creative. Remember, there is no such thing as a bad photo except for the one that you show. I'm Joey Gunz, check me out on-line at www.joeygunz.com.
