There are some excellent computer programs now, some of them very very strong and you can play at home whenever you want to with those. You can get computers which are actually small chess computer, often hand held, and of course you can take those with you wherever you go and also there is a tremendous amount of chess being played now on the internet and an actual fact if you wanted to you could play chess for 24 hours a day nonstop if you were up to it. While we are on the subject of chess computers you may have heard about Deep Blue which was a program IBM developed and which was tremendously powerful and which in fact was the first computer program to actually defeat a world champion.
