Hi, I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. So here a portal has just opened and you can see that it's not like a normal door. I'm looking through the portal, but I can actually see myself moving back and forth. And this is to get you acclimated to some of the unusual behaviors that you'll have to figure out when you're playing the game Portal. So I can walk through the portal and move to the first test chamber where the game proper actually begins. This is a pressure pad. You have to use these throughout the game to solve puzzles of various sorts. So here's the first one which is basically a tutorial puzzle, which just teaches you how to use these pressure pads. So I need to get this cube, over here, and you can use the X button or the right bumper on the X-box controller to pick it up and just place it over here on the pressure pad. It presses the button and it opens the door so I can go on to the next test chamber.
