"Hi, I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play, Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. Today we're going to be playing Portal, it's a new puzzle game from Valve Software that comes as part of the Orange Box, which is a compilation of games that Valve put out in November 2007. Now Portal is a puzzle game, unlike any other puzzle game that's out right now. It uses some cool new technology to let you warp around the world. And the puzzle challenges involve trying to get from one place to another using this portal gun that you'll get in the coarse of the game. Now, right now, I'm in a test chamber here in the Aperture Science Labs, which is the place where the game takes place. You're character doesn't really know why they're here or anything like that, but the test chamber is about to open in 10 seconds and the game begins. You can see that there's a robotic voice sort of talking to you over the intercom and it's malfunctioning, going to give you a hit that something isn't quite right at Aperture Labs and part of the game of Portal revolves around figuring out what that mystery is."
