"In this segment, we're going to cover basic types of bets. There's five basic types of bets, at least in the state of Colorado. We've got, Win, Place, Show, Win and Place and Win, Place and Show. A Win bet is betting on a specific number to come in first. A Place bet is a bet on a specific number to come in either first or second, getting paid only for the second place money. A Show bet is a bet on a specific number coming in first, second or third, only getting paid for the third place money. A Win Place bet is betting on a number to come in first and or second. If that number comes in first, you'll get paid for first and second. If it comes in second, you'll get paid for second. On a Win Place Show bet, you'll be placing a bet on a specific number to come in first, second or third. If your number comes in first, you will get paid for first, second and third. Comes in second, you'll be getting paid for second and third. If it comes in third, then you'll just be getting paid for third. That's the basic types of bets."
