"Hi, I'm Jeanette White on behalf of Expert Village and Piper's Quilts and Comforts located in Sugarhouse. Today we're going to be to doing a Pearl Continental. The difference in Continental and English is that we are holding the yarn in our left hand, as opposed to the right hand. This is a much smoother and faster method of knitting. It's also going to produce a lot less wear and tear on your hands. So I'm going to rig my tension in my left hand and now I'm ready to Pearl. I'm going to stab my stitch from top to bottom, as I would normally. And then loop the yarn from bottom to top, and push it through. So here we go. And you can see, this is a lot less motion than throwing your yarn with your right hand. With a little practice, you can make this a very easy way to do your Pearl with your Continental, and that's how you do it."
