Summary: Learn about cleanup, care, and maintenance of a darkroom in this free photography video.
" Hi! My name is Jeff and I want to talk to you about putting your dishes away when you are done processing your film. So you’ve got your film hanging to dry, you need to have a dish rack or some way of drying your tank and reels. Don’t just let them sit there with water on them. If you’ve got to process film again real quick, you want to take a soft cloth like a t-towel or something and dry this reel off real well before you try to use it again. If you try to load film on this wet reel, you are not going to have very good luck. Every place that that film gets wet will accept the developer differently than those places on that film that remains dry. You are very likely to streak your film if you do this, so dry it off real well or if you are not going to process film, you can just put it in a dish rack like this, put your can in there upside down, your lid, everything where it can just air out and they will be ready to go next time you come in and have another roll to process.
