" Hi! I am Jeff Thomson here and we are talking with Expert Village today about hot air ballooning. In this segment today we are going to cover about the size of hot air balloons. Balloons come in different sizes and very much like cars do, you have small sports cars that will carry two people and you have big buses that will carry 20 or 30 and balloons are the same way. Here is a balloon that carries a pilot plus 2 or 3 passengers, this balloon on my right will carry a pilot plus up to six passengers and there are balloons that are even bigger than that. Hot air balloons are sized together in other words the envelope the fabric part of the balloon is sized specifically for the basket. So it is not like you are going to take a small three passenger basket and put a great big 12 passenger balloon on it or vice versa. The envelope the fabric part of the balloon range anywhere from a small balloon that will hold 77000 cubic feet of air up to a large balloon that will hold over 200000 cubic feet of air and carry as many as pilot plus 12-14 passengers.
