"Hi I'm Jitin Tuli on behalf of expertvillage.com and now I'm going to tell you about how does the rook moves and captures. The rook can move any number of squares in a straight line, horizontally or vertically but the rook may not these of either color. In the example the rook can move to any square I will show a illustration. As you can see the rook captures as it moves. The root can capture the enemy the bishop or the knight but it may jump over these pieces. "
