"So now that you have got your hand in front of you you’re going to want to lay down your Pokemon. The type of Pokemon you can lay down first off are basic Pokemon. You know they are basic because it says basic right on the card so those are the Pokemon you are going to want to lay down. In front of you you pick your one Pokemon to be your active Pokemon so that is the one you are going to fight with first off. I am going to choose Wailmer so I am going to put him face down up top here. My other two basic Pokemon are going to go right down on my bench here. When you are looking at your hand deciding what cards to put down, these are a Stage 1 Pokemon. These can't be put down right away, only basic Pokemon can go out as your active or your benched Pokemon. What happens if you don't get any basic Pokemon in your first hand? What you do is you tell your opponent I didn't get any basic Pokemon, I need a new hand. You fold up your hand, shuffle it back into your hand, so you need to do a new shuffle again and draw seven more cards. What happens to your opponent? They get to draw a card if you do that. Usually on the Pokemon rules to decide who goes first, you flip a coin. I like to try the method of rock, paper, scissors. Ready? One, two, three. Again. One, two, three. Oh I beat you. Alright I get to go first."
