"We'll do one more. I certainly would have liked to have seen him as my partner in diamonds. Look at this diamond support. We would have had the whole diamond suit, an absolute killer diamond suit. There's another run in diamonds, that's a great diamond suit. Now we look at spades, king, queen, jack, ten, nothing too great there. Three, six, nine, eleven, thirteen, seventeen, three, six, nine, eleven, fourteen, nineteen, twenty, now let's look at this hand and see how quickly we can get a count on this hand. If we're aiming, again meld only, runs only account for the suit that you have the run in, if you do not declare diamonds, all of a sudden you lose that fifteen. So if you're thinking of shifting over to another suit you would lose the value. If you wanted to declare hearts, you don't get credit for the run in diamonds, but if we were talking about diamonds again, can you imagine that would be matched up with that hand, tremendous suit. You would get fifteen for the diamond suit. You have a queen of spades and jack of diamonds, that's a Pinochle, that's nineteen. You don't have a marriage here because that's been taken care of. You get two for this marriage here, that's twenty-one. You get two for this marriage here, that's twenty-three. King, king, and king of, wow you even have kings all around too, thirty-one points. That's a great hand. You just made kings all around, king, king, king, king, wonderful hand, great hand, so you learn to do this quickly, you work with your partner, now if you're bidding you want to show your partner that information. We'll cover that later. Just practice learning to declare meld and it will really help your game when to count meld."
