Video Transcript

"Getting started, we will need to look at a Pinochle deck which is eighty cards. That's a lot of cards and we're going to show you exactly how these cards will be dealt and so forth. Pinochle, the double deck Pinochle game that we're talking about is partnership Pinochle. The other games are good. You might like single deck. There are rules that are available on the Bicycle card game site or on any of the search engines. Firstly, you play as partners. It's the same structure as any other partnership card game; excuse me, one team here, and one team here. One team who plays the hand declares the trump will be defended, or will be opposing the other team who will do everything in their power to try to set them or at least get as many points as they can and then we have the other situation where we have another team over here, if they're declaring a hand then you will be trying to set them or get as many points as you can. So the basic structure, four players at one table and twenty cards. Now if we want to look at the suits in Pinochle, and there are four of them, I just want you to look at this particular suit here, that's right."
