"This is basically a summary. We have had a long journey through this Pinochle lesson and points that are certainly critical to become a successful player. This is one card game that is going to take a long time to learn and to learn thoroughly. It takes many players a few years to become totally accomplished and proficient. You will feel much more comfortable with a regular partner than you would with a pick up partner or a strange partner however, most Pinochle players adapt easily. They understand the bidding, they understand the system, and they understand when to climb if it is required, they understand the counters, and they work on very nice conventions. I have seen bidding systems and conventional where a partner will lead an ace and the ace leader's partner will say I'll throw a queen if I have junk and I'll throw a jack if I have an ace for you so you can have some very nice conventions in the system. You must remember which cards are good. If you are going to learn anything right from the git go because there is nothing more embarrassing than to be pulling trump out that only you and your partner have or forgetting about the last trump, you pull it and then they wind up taking the last four tricks and you couldn't have stopped them and you wind up getting set because you didn't pull the requisite number of counters. You must, must, must take the time to count trump so if you pick up the trick and we'll find a heart in here somewhere or maybe we won't, okay."
