"Now we've touched on this in the previous section and we're just going to keep looking at the opening bid with aces all around. If you have the opening bid to the left of the dealer or if it goes past and you are the partner of the dealer, it doesn't really matter, the point is very important here, aces all around is a very valuable bid because you don't do 51 if you don't have aces all around, you just don't bid it. Bid 50 or bid 52. If you have the opening bid, now I'm saying opening bid, not an over call of 50 over 51 although some people will use it for that. Whenever you have opening bid 51 is exclusively reserved for aces all around so if you have 14 meld and 12 meld and you don't have aces all around then you are going to have to do something, either improvise to a 50 which shows kind of a general hand, that's the system I use or 52 which is a hand closer to 20 points. Make sure you are on the same page but remember 51 restricted specifically to aces all around."
