"His mission in life, is to be trying, is to try to take as many trump tricks as he can. He wants to get as many trump tricks, he may even have both, left, right. He's going to be relatively thrilled if he can get an off suit trump and then just make the point. What you're going to do is protect these aces by leading the trump. Let's just say for the sake of argument, he's got a two suited hand here, that's a really nice hand to call. You should be able to make a point on this hand. But if this defender has this, he leads this, what is he forced here? Well, he can force a bower here and now what does he do? He comes off lead with this, right? He scores a trick here and he pushes another another trump, right. Again he takes another bower. Now if he's really smart, he will lead this and force him to trump this, to have this trump on the end. If that was a spade, it's different. The defense, it cost the defense absolutely nothing to lead a trump when you have a natural trump trick. When you have trump and you have side aces, protect your side aces. I want to cover one more thing too and that is unless I have it down here later. No, we do have leads against loners and that is coming up later. Again, lead trump on defense if you have side aces to protect. Never under lead or lead the guarded left. If you have the left bower or trump and a small trump and you know this person has picked it up. Never lead trump. Lead trump when you have like, you know, ten, nine, queen, and a side suit ace. You got nothing to lose by that."
