"We talked about this earlier, and it's just basically synopsized, if there's such a word, that when you have the right bower in your hand, I mean not in your hand, when you have the bower as a turn card, and it's your turn to call, I mean it's, you're the dealer and it goes pass, pass pass, if this person understands that you're never going to turn this down, then you will be assured that if he has a good hand, it's going to certainly help you out. Now, it doesn't always work, well if he has three trump on you, certainly he would've called you. And incidentally, that brings rise to another term that's called bushwhacking. There are people who like to lay low in the bushes and pass with three trump. Ok? Now, certainly not with the right, but maybe with the ten here, I mean supposing that the opponent has hand like this, and he's just probably licking his chops at the prospect of "Wow, wouldn't it be great if he picks it up? I've got him. I've got a big trump stack on him." Well, you're going to look pretty bad if he turns it down, and now your spade suit is dead and so is in your hand, because if he turns down spades, you don't have the right to call spades. So again, don't lay in the bushes and hide this, set this trap. Any good player is going to call with three trump, and those are pretty decent, not great, but pretty decent trump. With the right, have an agreement with your partner you're always going to pick up the right, that way your partner won't be forced to go alone if he takes it from you, and if he does want to go alone then he'll go ahead and make that call. It's a very useful convention, doesn't work all the time, but it's nice to know that your partner is not going to back down from the right."
