I'm Joe Marshall and today we are going to discuss shuffles and cuts. I like to get into a fancy cut that requires no table. Again as I said if you are walking around doing magic you'll not want to have a table or relie on one if there is not one available. This is a triple cut it is done with both hands and it requires the ability to do the pivot swing move as the first cut we explained, you will start out with your middle finger on the top corner. Thumb on the bottom just as before you will pivot and grab with the crouch of your thumb bring that packet under. Instead of bringing in on top now what you will do since your other fingers are free, you will place this on your thumb down here at the bottom. This corner this corner would be placed on your ring finger so you are in this position and you will pick up another portion and move it aside in the crouch of your thumb and it comes out. Like so let me do this is fast motion so you could see what it looks like first. It is going to look like this. It is just triple cut looks really nice but also if you have the deck in a prearranged order it is not mixing up any of the cards as much as it looks like you really mix them up. It is not doing anything but, to do that again you just want to hold on top. Thumb on the bottom, your first finger pivots out the top portion, it comes down and is delivered to your thumb and ring finger. Your first finger would pick up another portion do the same thing but, only this time since you are holding it with the crouch of your thumb and first finger you could bring your first finger and pinkie underneath your ring finger and middle finger on top and pivot it out like this. So you have this type of motion happening. What that does is opens up the palm of your hand to drop this portion there and since you drop that portion there you could now pivot over the middle portion and just drop this one on top. So in slower motion the steps looks like this you come up. Take the cards across. Place it on the ring finger and middle finger. The corners are like the pivoting points. Again another one goes in the crouch of your thumb. Middle finger and ring finger on top. First finger and pinkie underneath they hinge out like so as this one comes across and it taking by the crouch of the thumb. The middle portion comes over the top of it, like so. This one just drops down. So in fast motion with speed it just looks like you done a really crazy fancy triple cut move and at the same time you have really done nothing to the deck and it is important if you are going to be forcing cards like the bottom card we just discussed about and other moves. Plus it just looks neat so make sure you practice this and get it down.
