" Hi! My name is Gene; I'm glider flight instructor on behalf of Expert Village. You put the nose down, you go faster. You move the nose up, it goes slower. You turn the stick and the rudder right, you turn right. You push the stick and rudder left, you go left. When you get the wing back level and the altitude right, you're flying again. How many G's does the glider have? About half a G. It's actually one and a half. One G is normal, but we had one G plus half. So if you weighed 100 pounds that time, you weighed 150 pounds. What about aerobatic flight? Aerobatic flight gliders are capable of doing aerobatics. The FAA regulation require that both passenger and pilot have a parachute and that the maneuvers be within the operating envelope specified by the airplane that they're flying. So different air bag maneuvers are possible in different airplanes based on their design and the fact that the pilots are qualified in wearing parachutes. "
