" Hi! My name is Gene; I'm glider flight instructor on behalf of Expert Village. We're now coming up on 2800 feet. We start to go through the procedure for getting ready to release. In order to take the tension off the rope when we release, we'll actually climb a little bit above the tow plane, nose over a little bit to increase our air speed speed, take the tension off the rope, and we'll release the rope and make a climbing turn to the right while he makes a descending turn to left and gets separation from the rope. Now my goal is to get a little bit above him, nose over, take the tension off the rope, release, and make a right turn away from the rope and tow plane and he goes down left. "
