"Hi! I am Grady Johnson and I am a competition backgammon player and today I am representing expertvillage.com. Now I would like to talk to you a little bit about playing a money game. Now playing for money is really, really fun. It takes the game to a whole another level of intensity just like when you are playing cards with your friends. Now money game does not have to be for a lot of money and you do not have to be scared of playing for money in backgammon. You can play for just a little bit I mean say you are only paying for a nickel or a dime a point. That is really not a lot of money, but it does kind of give the game a little more fun. When you are playing for money, there are two things in your game that are extremely crucial that is your ability to get your stones off the board quickly, hopefully gammon or backgammon which can increase the stakes and also your ability to effectively bet with the doubling cube. Now in combination with your doubling cube betting and your gammon and backgammon ability, you can really increase the stakes of your game dramatically. Even if you are playing for low stakes with your friends you will find that the game can get very very interesting when you are coming close to a gammon or backgammon and you have the doubling position. That can really make this game very, very dramatic and fun for you and your friends. Remember whenever you play in money game be sure that the points are worth a dollar value you and your friends can afford. A money game is a lot of fun after all you can play for just nickels and dimes."
