"Hi, I'm Greg B. from Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about model cars. Now, let's talk about model car shows. Here we are at one of the largest model car shows in the United States. It was in 2007, Mach, Parsippany, New Jersey. The workmanship on the model cars were just totally unbelievable. I mean here we're looking at a '53 Ford with Packard taillights, a chopped Merq, a Buick Riviera in the background. Just totally awesome, unbelievable cars. Here's a 125th Mercury with working headlights in it. Some seemed they used cotton to imitate the smoke coming off the tires. That's one of those Ed Roth Rat Fink cars. Look at the paint job. Now that takes some work to get that detail on the hood. It was probably cut out of a magazine and clear-coated and everything else--when it's got the bowling ball paint job on it, the gold-plated low rider wheels. Now this scene was something else. You had stand and look at this for about a half hour. The junk that was out in the trees, the work he did to get the fuel pumps to look like yesteryear. Trees growing though the cars. Old stock car, like a '38 Chevy, a '37 Chevy. I mean that's really a lot of work. Broken windows in the pickup truck. A lot of detail. The old merry-go-round plane. How's that for a garage? T bucket and all the junk we'd love to have in our garage all over the place. Soapbox derby car. You really have to look at the detail that went into building some of this. Like calendar. This is all 125th scale, so you're dealing with stuff basically the size of your thumb--a head gasket. Just totally unbelievable the work that guys do. Tools, junk coming all out of the cabinets, here's the helmet up here, and a model of a model car."
