"Hi this is Daniel on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we are going to be talking about a little known strategy known as surrendering. Surrendering is an option that you can use when your hand has a very small chance of winning. When opting to surrender you quit playing and surrender half of your bet. The idea behind this is it is better to lose 50% than a 100% on a losing hand. Let's take a look at the times when you might chose to surrender. In two deck blackjack games you should only surrender when you are holding a hard 15 or 16 or a pair of 7s and the dealer is showing a 10. In multiple deck blackjack games you should only surrender when you are holding hard 15 and a dealer is showing a 10 or you are holding a hard 16 and the dealer is showing a 9 or a 10. So again surrendering is a strategy that is not found it many casinos but if you are playing in a casino that has it you may find it a good strategy to use. "
