"Now we're going to sand the fin. Previously, we have cut the fin out. To sand the fin, what you have to do is realize how the fin will fit to the rocket. In this case, that is the position and kind of how the fin will fit to the rocket. So there are three surfaces that I suggest sanding. The first surface, is the surface that meets the body tube. Let's sand that now. The way to sand that is, any kind of imperfections that happen when you cut from the master piece of balsa wood, you need to get rid of. So basically what you're doing is take that fin, put your sandpaper on a flat surface and sand the find with the sandpaper to a point to where you get a pretty smooth feeling on the part of the fin that meets the body tube. The other part of the fin still has some defects or some roughness to them, and they'll need to be sanded also. We'll talk about that in the next sequence."
