"We know albums from the sixties and the seventies are really what most people collect now days. Those are the hottest albums; The Rolling Stones, The Doors, stuff like that. But this is another cute little type of a genre. This is comic character, motion picture soundtracks kind of genre. This is the famous Chipmunks. And now, I see they are coming out with the movie again, but the thing that is so fascinating about this particular Chipmunk record is: look at these chipmunks! Do they look like the Chipmunks that you know and love? Simon and the gang? I don't think so! These Chipmunks don't look anything like the Chipmunks that were on the cartoon version or the movie version. That's because these are before those Chipmunks were morphed into more modern Chipmunks. So the interesting thing to know is that in addition, this Chipmunk record is on red vinyl. How interesting is that? A red vinyl record. So this album, we need to talk about condition too. That's an important consideration. It's in mint-condition. That means that it has no scratches. That's one of the reasons we went from vinyl to CDs, because these things just....after a bunch of needle playing, they go bad. But some people really took good care of their records and if you have records then and you want to listen to them, I'd advise that. But this particular record, on red vinyl is worth probably in the book, about fifty dollars. But, let it be known that book prices are never, ever what you get when you sell records or buy them in a store. Usually, if you look at the book value, in this type of book, you get about half or a third. But, remember, that any time you look in any collectible book, you are looking at something and the assumption is that it is in mint condition. So, something with scratches, you can drop it down the hatch. So, look for something like this that is really sort of an old version of a new character. Those things are very collectible and especially the different color vinyls are fun. So I highly recommend you picking up the Chipmunks at your earliest convenience because this album is not really that common. It's not too common; not very easy to find. So I recommend buying this album any time you see them."
