"Let’s talk about scouting, were you a Cub Scout? Were you a Brownie, were you an Eagle Scout maybe? Scouting is hugely collectible and there is still a lot of good scouting stuff to find out there as you check out those garage sales, because people don’t think, oh gee I am done with those trash it. They don’t want it anymore, they don’t, some of them don’t want to think about the scouting but I, you know my scouting experience was wonderful, I was a Brownie, and I lasted about six months and then I got bored but the coolest thing that I learned when I was a Brownie was how to use chopsticks. So I thank the Brownies for that it was very excellent. But anyway back to what was important and that is, scouting items. These are a couple of items that I found recently, this is a songbook, this is probably circa, I would say 1960. This is my, this isn’t the one that I own, but this is my original Brownie book that I had, one just like it and isn’t that precious. This book belongs to Cynthia Lester, but this is my Brownie book and what the Brownie collectors and the Scout collectors are looking for, mostly Boy Scout, more Boy Scout collectors than girls and they look for everything, they look for those patches, you know those sashes that go around and they have the patches that you earn for different things? Those are highly collectible, they look for those, they look for insignia, pins, they look for old uniforms, they look for old souvenirs, there are a lot of kits, there are how to make moccasins, Boy Scout kits. There are all kinds of imprintable Boy Scout stuff, trophies, plaques, anything that has to do with being a Scout. There is all kinds of, oh I know a good thing I found recently. I found a guide for a Cub Scout leader and all the craft projects that you were supposed to do as a Cub Scout leader that is hugely collectible. Photographs are huge, photographs commemorating Scout-oramas, Scouting events, so if you see older scout stuff, I would say seventies or before, it is a great thing to pick up and put away, Scouting is collectible, buy it."
