They are valuable tools for business because the receiver of the business card may remember the card better than the face. Also, it is a simpler alternative to finding a piece of paper and a pen when information is needed. The typical information included on a business card includes the giver’s name, company logo, phone number, email address and sometimes a physical address or web address. Traditionally, business cards were printed on white card stock with black ink. Recently however, color, pictures, and wild fonts are popular additives to the traditional business card. "This is Jason Freedman. In this clip we will be talking about why to collect business cards. What hobby could be better than collecting something that does not cost you anything, something that people give away for free, something that you can find everywhere, collecting something that is small, portable, easily organized and willingly traded with other collectors? Did I mention it’s free? Those are some of the reasons that make business card collecting such a great hobby. There are even international clubs filled with people who post messages to online forms every day. They trade cards with each other through the mail and even at conventions. Some collectors are very selective in the cards that they collect. There are others who are general collectors and will keep everything that they get. Some collectors have collections of a few 1000 cards, some have 10,000 of cards and there are even a few folks who have over a million cards. Not me, my wife would kill me if I ever get that many. So how do you collect business cards? Let’s watch in the next segment and I will tell you how."
