How to Double Check Your Rock for Scratches

"Hi, I'm Jason with expertvillage.com. Today we're making the polished rock charm for a necklace. We've cut all the edges, cut all the surfaces down. We've drilled holes and beveled the edges. And after that we marked for all the deep scratches. Now I'm just going to look over it as it's drying to make sure that those black lines are all gone and there's no more deep, white scratches that I may have put in while taking some out. And it looks like I do have one small one right here. So rather than mark the whole thing, I'm just going to do one spot, look it over and just take them out really quick as I look it over. And then we'll talk about polish after that. So we'll do this really quick. And as I'm grinding that down I look at the whole thing and make sure that I did get it everywhere. And it looks like there's no more really deep, white scratches in it so now we can start on polish. I'm happy with the shape. It looks pretty funky, so I'm happy with the shape. We'll just do the polish next."
