"DUSTIN STAAT: Today, I'm going to teach you how to turn your Xbox into a multimedia center. First off, you're going to need a couple of things. You need some software, like Flash FXP to FTP, your Xbox. You can download this on the web from flashfxp.com. You're going to need mIRC, which is an IRC client, which is you can also get from mirc.com, a premodded Xbox, which you'll know and have already if you followed our last tutorials. If you haven't followed the last tutorials, I recommend going back and taking a loo, because this explains the level we're going to do and just kinda brush through to makes things quicker for those who have. So, what are the benefits of turning your Xbox to a multimedia center you ask? Well, there's lots of benefits. First off, it's a higher grade operating system. That means that you'll be able to play more codecs of audio, video, as well as other files like document files and I mean, the list goes on and on for what this program can do. Second, you'll be able to log in to applemovies.com and watch trailers directly off the internet. Also gives you many more options like, visually, you can actually change your Xbox to play in higher formats of HD than it's originally made to play in. You can hook it up to play DTS encoding, which is Digital Theater Sound, which is only used through an optical port. You have to buy that accessory, but the software allows you to do that. It also has upgrade copying utilities so you can move more files from your computer. You can, basically, move files from one hard drive or one partition to another on your Xbox, which you could not in your prior version of the operating system. Please watch our next segment where I'll show you where and how to download your Xbox media center software."
