"Hi, my name is Ed Cody and on behalf of ExpertVillage.com, I am going to talk to you a little bit today about using a tripod for your child’s photography. If you want to seen an example of this type of work and what I am talking about the difference a tripod makes go to our website at codyharris.com. The difference between amateur looking portraits and the professional looking portraits, which you can get at home in my opinion, is using a tripod. The reason for that is it helps stabilize you. Most of the time as parents we are trying to chase our child and our camera is just going sideways, up ways, down and up; and in today’s world of a smaller camera it is harder to control by just holding it. if you will take the time to put your camera on a tripod that gives you a base, a stability and it gives you a better foundation for your portraits. When you zoom, it will be smoother and tighter going in and out. Also the tripod keeps you from jerking your camera around, once you start using a tripod you will realize that that is the main thing that is going to help your portraits become better in the long run."
