"EMIL LAMPRECHT: Now, if you've gotten the one box snatch down, there's a number of variation that I can add to it to make it look more interesting. This particular variation, I just call a one box snatch 180. Now, what I'm going to do is as I release the box--boxes upward and send this one towards the center, I'm going to drag my hand a little bit towards it, toward the center of the pattern so that the box actually spins a 180 in the air. If done right, it should be placed for a perfect catch. Now, as always, you'll have more trouble with your nondominant hand but being able to this on both sides is very beneficial when trying to have a snatch escalation in a routine. And then one thing I'm not remembering to do properly as I'm talking is lift properly. Make sure you're lifting properly. Give yourself enough time with the box in the air and try to do it in an environment that doesn't have wind like this one so that you can track the box with your eyes before catching it. That's the 180 box snatch."
