"EMIL LAMPRECHT: Now I'm going to go over the one box lift. In some ways, this is easier and another way, it's more difficult than a three box lift. The reason that it's harder is because you are now taking the outside boxes and separating them from the middle box and then kind of reconnecting them so that the middle box doesn't hit the ground. It's easier because the release upwards doesn't have to be quite as even and you could cheat a little bit. Looks a little bit like this. Very simple, of course, if your release is still uneven and you're still getting used to this motion, it's going to take some time to get the boxes stay straight. This is why I showed you the three box lift first because it forces you and demands that your release be straight and even. That was not a good example. That was a better one. Now with this trick, again, start small. It can be as easy as just little hops just to get used to disconnecting and reconnecting the box. It doesn't take too much pressure. Try not to break the boxes as you--or slam them together. I literally only hold the outside boxes with two fingers really, my thumb and my middle finger. The other one is a kind of just for support and balance. After you get used to doing it in little increments, try getting bigger and see, try to keep that middle box as even as possible. Maybe even let it float even closer to the ground to get used to catching it there. And then eventually, we'll try to work your way to clapping the outside boxes to get it. You can do the clap below and also do the clap above. Teaches you some speed-it's a good first trick."
