"EMIL LAMPRECHT: In this clip I'm going to kind of reiterate some of the things I've said in past clips about the vamp. Now, when showing you straight-straight vamp, otherwise known as 4-4-1, pattern stack or high-middle-low, otherwise known as 5-3-1, and the shower pattern, 5-1, I talked a little bit about how, with the vamp, you can kind of manipulate the pattern to make it more interesting-looking, including vamping under your legs, behind your back, around your head, et cetera. The other things you can do for vamps in their place is short throws. This is kind of a throw but you can even do things like very short Under the Arms. This creates an interesting effect when doing something like 5-3-1. It's hard for me to do it while talking, but as you can see it kind of makes the whole thing look more interesting. Also, a good way to become confident with these tricks is to practice them with other vamps. So if you do a certain number of regular showers, followed by a couple of Under the Legs and a couple of Behind the Backs, you are more likely to get confident with the trick than you would be to just try to practice this over and over again. Varying tricks will usually do that, and that making yourself add to them, makes the base of the trick much more simple. With the shower pattern, to discuss how to approach doing ultimate vamps, you obviously need to give yourself some more time as I've discussed with the other tricks. Throwing the 2 throws high enough to get an alternate vamp in is very cool. Now if you can do it, you might want to throw even higher so you can do two or more in a row that are vamped either under your legs or elsewhere. Now, it's very hard to control a pattern when you're going like this. As you can see, I dropped twice in the past minute but it can create a very interesting effect, gets your whole body going, here's a good warm up for other tricks, and it's a lot of fun to watch."
