"EMIL LAMPRECHT: Now that I've taught you pattern stalls and your first columns trick, we're going to make it a little more difficult. Columns is your first synch trick. By synch, I mean your hands are actually moving at the same time when throwing. This can be done a number of different ways. It usually looks best if the ball that is alone is in the middle and the two that are together are on the outside, but you can also change it up. The ball can move around, float all around. I'll go in some more variations later, but try first to really just get this down. It may help, again, to practice two in one hand; this is the columns version. You can also do the circles version but to actually do the columns trick, it helps if the one ball is alone. Now, a lot of people will not teach you to switch hands on the center ball. As you can see, I'm using only my right hand to control the center ball. Train your left hand to do it as well and then learn to switch. This does nothing visually for an audience but it helps your coordination and ambidextrous nature."
