"EMIL LAMPRECHT: Now, I've taught you pattern stalls which involve one straight four-throw. The next step is learning how to do straight throws consistently. Now, a great trick to do with three balls is a columns-like throw, like this. Now, all I'm doing is taking the pattern and stalling it completely in a series of straight throws, the first one goes in the middle, the second one on the one outside, and the third one on the last outside. You catch them in the same order but because they're straight throws in the same hands. You can do this constantly but for now, just try to get it once. If you're finding yourself rushing or you can't understand the pattern when you're throwing it, throw very high. It doesn't matter if you don't catch them as long as you get the pattern right. If you can catch them, great. If not, don't worry about it. Just try to get your throws in their individual columns. This will lead up to tricks which are called "columns" and other siteswaps including 441 and then a bunch of four-ball stuff. Now, if you're following siteswaps, this trick would technically be called 4440. You can instead of doing it like this, just do it like that but obviously, or at least to me, this looks prettier."
