"Now juggling rings, side swaps and those types of tricks are just as valid as any other prop. Of course you always have to remember who you're presenting to. Certain side swaps at which point never really vary in height, may not be visual to an audience at all if performed like this. Now it also won't be visual if you're facing them because the definition of the ring is very slim. So in last few tricks are very variance in height, people may not see them at all. Usually we call tricks that are great like this and fun to do but not visual tricks for jugglers cause jugglers may see the pattern and may recognize that it is difficult but an audience member won't. You also want to consider your use of outside throws and inside throws and different things like that. Side swaps if you're facing the audience it can be made interesting if you're throwing various sides and whatever else. However, if I threw one facing you isn't going to be interesting. If I threw one like this it may be interesting to an audience. So just keep that in mind, play around with things, get someone who doesn't know how juggle watch you do certain tricks with rings and tell you oh that's impressive or oh I didn't see a change and that'll make a big difference."
