How to Pick Pet Photography Backgrounds

"when you're shooting in a studio or in a makeshift studio like your home the background is a very important component of the picture I personally prefer using the seamless backgrounds because they eliminate the clutter and you can buy them at any camera store they're usually on a paper roll and you can choose lots of different colors they're fairly easy to use you can even just tape then to the wall if you wanted but I like to look at what colors are in the pet and what's going to be brought out the most by the background to keep your focus and attention on the animal so another thing that you can do is use a sheet or a towel or a large piece of fabric that you can drape over things to give it more of that studio look watch out though sometimes when people do these shots they thing oh the dog bed it's perfect it's a solid color it's not too distracting but it can also be already covered in dog hair or be dirty or that kind of thing so if you do want to do something like have a picture of them in your dog bed consider putting a fresh throw over it or watch out because sometimes too those dog beds can have loud patterns or contrasting colors or things that don't really flatter the pet so keep all that in mind when you're choosing your background because it can really make the difference between a snapshot and a portrait"
