"You're learning right now, the Cha-cha-cha on two. I want to talk about the background of Cha-cha-cha, the music, the history before we get into the actual dance steps. Cha-cha-cha is actually derived from Cuba, and then it was then brought to the US and in the 1950s, it was Americanized and popularized, and now it's danced all over the United States. The music, you hear some specific rhythms. You hear guiro which is--you'll be able to hear it in the music when we dance in a future clip, and the rhythms, and I may also cover that. I am going to be teaching you the steps, the basic rhythms, and how you would dance with a partner in closed position and in open position."
